Summer is the most challenging season for the NEEDS pantry. Donations decline, while families struggle without access to subsidized school meals for their children.
You can help by donating some of our most-needed items! Our current top need is laundry detergent. Other crucial items are listed below.
Home and Personal Care: Laundry detergent Paper towels Toilet paper Sanitary pads and tampons
Donations can be dropped off at Kenwood Baptist Church, either at the drive-through during our open hours (Tuesday and Thursday 9:00-1:00), or in the marked boxes at each entrance. Prefer to order online? Click HERE for more options. Thank you!
The NEEDS pantry is entering the most challenging months of the year. Summer means the end of the school year, and the end of kids’ subsidized school breakfasts and lunches. That leaves more mouths to feed at home. We also lose the support of the schools that regularly hold food drives for the pantry. Other regular donors are away on vacation. Our shelves will soon need to be replenished!
