Each year, students, families, and faculty at Ursuline Academy hold a food drive to benefit NEEDS. This year’s drive was a huge success! Our pantry coordinators shared this letter of gratitude:

“WOW!!! You outdid yourselves this year! The first day you dropped off at our pantry you brought six or seven carloads full. You then called days later to see if we could use more, so you filled another car! Amazing!! We just can’t thank you enough for your continued support in helping the NEEDS pantry serve our neighbors. We are so blessed to be a part of your program each year.

Your food drive comes at a critical time for us. As we approach the summer, our donations drop off and our shelves start to look sparse. Your donation is one of the largest we receive and the variety of products that you collected this year was outstanding. Thank you so much for sorting and delivering the product to us. You saved us hours of effort.

It’s no surprise that this event is so successful. The preparation work and the enthusiasm of the students is impressive. We’d like to give special thanks to Addie and Elodie for their coordination of the event this year. Great job ladies! And many thanks to Megan Knapke for your leadership over the years. You have made a lasting impact on these young women and our community.

NEEDS has been serving our community for 40+ years. Each year the number we serve increases. With the price of groceries continuing to rise, it is tough for families to make ends meet. Your donation will go a long way in helping needy families in our area. Please share our thanks with the students, families, and faculty who made this food drive successful. The volunteers who keep our pantry running and the families we serve thank you all.”
