Pantry coordinator Maureen shared this note of gratitude:
“Members of the Susanna Wesley Fellowship — part of the United Methodist Women — weren’t fretting about the outcome of the national election on the evening of November 5. They were focusing on the NEEDS food pantry and how they could help.
Eleven members of the Fellowship visited the pantry to learn about its history and current operation. And they didn’t come empty handed! Having previously checked out the pantry’s ‘Most Needed’ list, they came bearing gifts of laundry detergent, diapers, and the plastic bags so essential for packing up groceries for those seeking food assistance.
Thank you, ladies, for all you have done for NEEDS!”

The women’s group at Sharonville United Methodist Church recently surprised NEEDS with a generous donation to the pantry. Coordinators Janie and Maureen shared this note of thanks, offering a peek into the pantry’s day-to-day operations.
“On behalf of everyone here at NEEDS, we’d like to thank each and every one of you for choosing to help support our food pantry.
Your donation comes at the perfect time, as more and more families are seeking emergency food aid. Our volunteers arrive each service day to find a line down the side of the building — a line that forms well before we open. In the four short hours we serve, we provide dairy items, fruit and vegetables, meat, nonperishable food, and personal/household supplies to up to 30 families.
Your support will help us continue to meet their needs, especially as we approach the busy holiday season.”

November brings the wonderful, family-focused holiday of Thanksgiving. But the families we serve are unlikely to have turkeys on their tables. They will most likely make do with the chicken breast or drumsticks we offer. Can you help them fill out their meals, and provide the personal and household items they need?
Nonperishable Food: Canned sweet potatoes / yams Packaged stuffing Packaged potato mixes Canned cranberry sauce Canned pasta with meat (Spaghettios, ravioli, etc.) Packaged pasta sides
Home and Personal Care: Laundry and dish detergent Diapers (sizes 4-7)
Donations can be dropped off at Kenwood Baptist Church, either at the drive-through during our open hours (Tuesday and Thursday 9:00-1:00), or in the marked boxes at each entrance. You can also donate via our Amazon Wish List, and your donation will be shipped directly to the pantry!
All Saints Catholic Church recently held a Service Blitz Day, completing projects for eight local nonprofits — including NEEDS! Volunteers worked hard to give the pantry a much-needed deep cleaning.
Pantry coordinator Janie shared this note to the team:
“Thank you, thank you, thank you once again for including NEEDS in your Service Blitz Day this year. We really look forward to this event, as it gives us the opportunity to get some help with a deep cleaning of our pantry. Your wonderful team of eight did such a great job of cleaning our refrigerators and freezers by carefully taking everything out, wiping down the shelves, and putting it all back in. They then did a thorough mopping of the floors. The pantry is SPOTLESS!!
The All Saints congregation does so much for the NEEDS pantry with your regular bi-monthly donations and financial support. This service event is a great way to get additional help from your volunteers and to introduce them to our pantry. We love having families participate with their children. It’s important to instill the love of service at such a young age. Please know that you all have played a critical role in helping us serve over 2000 families last year. The NEEDS volunteers and all the neighbors we serve thank you!”

Our pantry coordinators recently shared, “Children may be small, but they can be mighty. The kindergarten through fifth grade students of Indian Hill Church’s Vacation Bible School proved that this August.
Molly Milligan, coordinator of the program, reached out to NEEDS to request a speaker to talk to the students about the mission and work of NEEDS. She and her team also encouraged students and their families to collect food during the week to donate to NEEDS on the program’s final day. Their efforts focused on peanut butter and boxed cereal, currently most needed items at the pantry. Every item donated helped to restock empty pantry shelves for the coming weeks.”
