Thank You, Ursuline Academy!

Earlier this month, families and faculty at Ursuline Academy worked hard to collect pantry donations for NEEDS. Pantry coordinators Janie and Maureen shared this letter of heartfelt thanks:
“We just can’t thank you enough for your continued support in helping the NEEDS pantry serve our neighbors. We are so blessed to be a part of your program each year. Your donation is one of the largest we receive and this year we were excited to get so many personal care items. Thank you for sorting and delivering the product to us. It really helps us and it provides the opportunity for your students to see our pantry and to appreciate how the work they have done is helping their community.
We also loved participating in your kickoff assembly for the food drive in March and your media day the week of the collection. It was so energizing to see all the effort that goes into it and it is impressive to see the student leadership. It’s no surprise that this event is so successful each year. We’d like to give special thanks to Grace Roberts and Elodie Abou-Khalil for their coordination and communication with us. Great job ladies! And many thanks to Megan Knapke for your leadership. You are making an impact on our community and helping instill a passion for service with these young women.
As we explained to the students at the kickoff event, the number of families we serve each year continues to increase, up another 12% from last year. With the price of groceries continuing to rise, it is tough for families to make ends meet. Your donation will go a long way in helping needy families in our area. Please share our thanks with the students, families and faculty who made this food drive successful. The volunteers who keep our pantry running and the families we serve thank you all.”
